I was recently equipped with a new tower PC meets the sweet name of barbaric Antec nine hundred, I noticed with a certain hint of bitterness that it was not possible for me to feed two of the three small case fans for lack of outlets. My new diet does not provide actual Molex cable type 4-pin male to three. After heavily cursed, like any good self-respecting French, I decided to go back to my favorite auction site to stain remedy the problem, and came across this. "Great!" I exclaimed to me, and the control was carried out in a jiffy after quickly checking the recognition range to the seller. I still do not know why the belief that small fans required only 5 volts power was so ingrained in me, but although he was when I plugged the so-called fans struggling article, I noticed that only exasperating small blue LEDs they are dressed lit. After a quick glance at the documentation, I learned that he finally had between 10 and 13 volts to rotate the gear which is the first goal. So I go see my favorite site and learns that it is my responsibility to pay the return shipping costs. The initial shipment price being already included in the price, this fact is yet justifiable. Also, given that price just me that I decided to try something on my own from my purchase and was doing a satisfactory conclusion:
It is possible to transform the 12V gearbox -> 4V by changing the order of the pines of the Molex plug (the big picture is taken).
Equip yourself with tweezers and a screwdriver. Press, using the first, the two small tabs that prevent the pine out of their housing and press it with the screwdriver to extract them. You can then reinsert into the hole that suits you. A ride to the doc tells us that placing the keyed up (as pictured) the first position is that of the 5V supply, the middle two are earth connections (mass) and the last is that of the 12V power supply. So place the first pin of the picture in the 4 position and the second position 3. Or leave it in its place, it should work as well.
And here you will have a 12V to 12V Molex 4 pin to 3x 3. My three fans make of light, and rotate freely. My Christmas-tree pc anyway did not seem to suffer beyond measure.
