This affordable installation kit is supplied with an aperture, a stacker, a Quadlock / ISO adapter and an antenna / FAKRA Adapter (ISO connection! Not DIN). I mean that one could install a CB radio or other device with appropriate dimensions instead of the storage compartment. If a VW radio in Polo 6R is installed, this must be removed before. For this purpose, first the diaphragm, which leads to the original radio is careful (!) Pry. These are (above the ventilation / air-conditioning control) 2x notches on the bottom edge of the bezel. There is an approximately 8mm wide, long! To set screwdriver. To avoid damaging the console at levering is to rest the screwdriver shaft using a wide piece of wood matches the entire console width about them. Among them is a soft cloth to lay so that the wood does not scratch the panel. (Do not pry off the cover sideways as shown in a YouTube video!). The wooden bar is to be placed below the climate control so as not to damage them! With short, jerky movements the aperture is slightly pry, and carefully out of the holders deduct the original radio around. Under this panel 4x Torx screws come out. With them, the original radio is attached. Once these have been unscrewed is careful to draw out of the bay, the original radio. Is the Quadlock connector, the (bottom) is secured against slipping out with a strap on the radio backplane. Below, in the middle of the bracket is a small backup lever must be pushed to the temple this to fold back so that the plug can be disconnected from the radio to. Then the antenna connector must be disconnected by first a befindlicher it smaller slide (which serves also as a protection against slipping out) is pushed backwards and the plug is then pulled from radio. The clear blue cable FAKRA adapter must be in the right-clipt receiving the black ISO plug (or to the interface connector on the radio to power the built-in antenna amplifier antenna). At Kenwood KMM-357SD this is pin A5. (Careful! Do not waste, you get the contact otherwise only with a tiny screwdriver and some skill out again.) Now the included visor must be secured with the 4x Torx screws. It fits perfectly! The big Quadlock connector to be connected to the quadlock / ISO adapter and the ISO plug later to the radio. Likewise, the small blue plug FAKRA antenna adapter is sew together with the small Antennstecker and secure with the small slide back against slipping. The other end is to be joined later by ISO antenna connector of the radio. (If the radio has a DIN antenna connection, here is a corr. FAKRA adapter for DIN connector to use!) The free end of the red cable must be connected to ignition plus (terminal 15). (The yellow cable of the quadlock / ISO-adapter leads the way permanent plus). Both could be connected to each other here, but the radio when the ignition key does not turn off but must be turned off manually! The Quadlock connection leads at Polo 6R no ignition plus. Turning off a original VW radio when the ignition key is controlled by the CAN bus! Finally, the radio must be installed and be connected to the ISO connectors and the Antennstecker and the original screen to cover the screws carefully to press. - Ready! -
Remarks: The included here quadlock / ISO adapter does not contain a CAN bus controller! This means that ignition plus must be taken from either terminal 15, or CAN-bus adapter is used the ignition plus supplies. (In my Polo 6R it seemed too costly to terminal 15 to come.) To get the convenience to effect turn off the radio when the ignition key removed, when Polo 6R a CAN bus adapter is absolutely necessary! I have therefore replaced the supplied here quadlock / ISO adapter by following adapters with CAN-bus interface, the previously prima (plug & play) works: "baseline Connect BV-303 - CAN Bus Interface, Ignition, Speed Pulse, plug & play", see
