For now my large collection lying around loose hard drives I was looking for a suitable storage solution. After I had finally been put on me the Sharkoon QuickPort Duo be able to operate to the plates via eSATA, secreted solutions as a complete case with cut-out for the ports of. A solid plastic case I also wanted to not because the board would have to be removed every time. For my taste, too error-prone. These silicone cases are now just right. The bulk of the plate remains in the casing and operation the cap is removed on the connection side of the HDD. The resulting exposed area is large enough that the plate can be inserted into the QuickPort. The plates are easy to stack with cases because there are correspondingly shaped small 'feet'. For long-term operation, I can not say anything yet, but it could be that the dissipation of heat in the vertical operation is not sufficient for hot-running hard drives. I will soon try with my "bucket" (Seagate Barracuda ST3400833AS).
Addendum: The called Seagate Barracuda is not warmer than without cover, so that the shell has therefore no negative effect on the very hot current hard drive. Due to the previous good experience I have just ordered the same six other cases.
Addendum 2: The other cases have arrived and already equipped with hard drives. Unfortunately, I now had to find that the tower already in three panels shows a slight inclination due to the thick edge at the open end of each of the two shell parts, currently at seven plates he makes a very clear arc during stacking. The stackability is therefore only partially usable.
