For years, I am looking for an (affordable) scanner to scan a collection of very old 35mm-screen black and white negatives. The Epson V330 fulfills this task perfectly. Using the included accessories plastic splint can be each a strip 35mm film in a length of up to 6 small motifs scan. The rail can be self Compound corrugated Negative pinch and scan without damage. The picture quality is superior in dynamic range and gray scale gradation at normal exposure and flawlessly processed films very well. This also applies to 35mm color negatives and small-screen color slides. The 4 small picture slides can be scanned with the supplied rail at a time. Color, contrast, brightness, color saturation are on the first scan with the preset default parameters convincing. For scanning of negatives or slides, the software offers several options to correct them. To scan a black and white negative film camera strip of 6 shots of the scanner needs about 4 minutes for the scan of a small-screen color negative strip of 6 shots about 6 minutes. The connection to the computer (Windows XP) as well as the installation and operation of the sophisticated software are completely free of problems. Plug and play. Recommended.
