Perfect for a nas with openmediavault!

The MicroServer is well designed, aesthetic, bit noisy, too bad the fan speed is not manageable by the bios!
With openmediavault (free) mounted on a usb ssd because this problem (be careful to disconnect all other drives before the install), it works impeccable, samba network sharing files, accessing files from the web in sftp behind the box (by cons must put the IP address of the DMZ in MicroServer which does not pose a problem given the restrictive setting of possible access to openmediavault), sharing multimedia files with minidlna. Adding the RAC card is not a luxury, it installs the MicroServer in a closet and manage it as if it was before! With openmediavault, memory 2GB is sufficient, power consumption in standby is about 2w, passes started to go up to 20w 40w with 4 HD 2TB started. In short, a good machine from HP for a nas home and furthermore with the offer to pay for HT 100 it becomes a very attractive offer!
