I bought the terminal for my homemade workbench from 19mm MDF with 20mm holes. It fits perfectly and has already facilitated some work. Simply with the hook side threaded through the holes and then tighten it to the practical lever. Unlike clamps one has not the problem that you have to tighten them cumbersome and with a lot of power, or that the ferrule may loose due to vibration. The opening is just as easy. Through the plastic shoe prints the ferrule are indeed reduced to the workpiece, but you should always place a piece of scrap wood between clamp and workpiece (especially in soft woods) anyway. Very practical is the fact that the clamp in the groove of my old FSN guide rail 70 from Bosch fit. Thus, the rail can easily tighten the workpiece and can be cut without slipping. As a normal ferrule, without workbench or guide rail, it does, however, not so well. I guess the reason is that the hook side is very narrow and does not provide good contact surface on the workpiece. But for the clamping of two workpieces, it was not even built. Even the price (by 37) is fine. From the terminal technology Bessey identical terminals in similar size cost almost the same, but may not be as elegant threaded into the workbench. So only a minimal Festool surcharge :-)
