Bought to get on a PC child, I tested it on an old machine with Windows XP.Le clone (software not supplied) makes the machine start without any problems with XP that is not optimized for SSD. I gained speed over the old SATA 160GB that was in the machine and especially noise. I redémonté because it is intended for another machine on Seven, but the test was successful in XP. Do not hesitate, given the cost to install a system it is royal. I'm on my 5th SSD in less than 6 months, a machine which has a port sata at home (my other IDE are unfortunately)
