Yes, the tripod has a 5/8 inch thread, but as good as any large-membrane or Dynamic studio microphone from any ordinary manufacturer also ...
who about Meckert probably the wrong Micro as the tripod the wrong thread or using a cell phone recorder ...
but for all who are have a heavy large diaphragm microphone right here because it has not only a heavy foot here ne is still wide and the shaft short (11 to 11.5 cm total height) so you have a very short lever and you need not be afraid have the overturn it
so I have to tip my Rode Podcaster (800g) another large diaphragm microphone + spider and no tripod I've used previously (ca.1kg) hanged so that I use the already heavy microphone as lifting ... and the stand holds it loose before the tilts probably breaks the holder from the Rode Podcaster ...
So a firmer stand tripod would be only a 20kg dumbbell weight with a thick steel pipe ...
the only thing I would like would be a real rubber ring underneath instead of this foam but as it is it is sufficient thickness of for what it should do
- Summary
+ Very stable
+ Keeps loose each microphone (or two ;-)
+ Stable
+ Foam protects the table from scratches
+/- You could have done a rubber ring instead of the foam under the tripod
+/- Overall height of only 11 - 11.5cm (what the tripod but again makes Stable)
