I wanted a box compartments to separately place nuts (almonds, hazelnuts etc.) it fulfills this role perfectly. I hesitated between 1L three-compartment box and this, I made the right choice, 1.6 L capacity is not too much and the difference in low price. The plastic clips and fasteners appear solid, the four compartments are practical and reasonable size. I read a review that are not watertight compartments between them, which is just so for example there instead liquids or small and we returned the box, but it is for my use only not at all annoying. FYI the box is not suitable for cooking food in a microwave oven, but can be placed without the lid in warm, personally I will do neither one nor the other being not a fan of the microwave! :-)
