I have now for about two weeks in use, and have already Macchiato these machines the supplied sample capsules for coffee, espresso and latte and hot chocolate tested. With the result I am really satisfied! The hot chocolate was delicious - not quite as good as homemade (with milk and real chocolate) but still very good (have me now also supplies for the capsules worried and even some of them enjoyed). As coffee or espresso tester to friends who provided were tasty also fully convinced.
From the handling ago, the "Dolce Gusto" is really easy. The included manual I found now not soooo good - hardly text and many photos which are not always clear-cut - but I quickly found out how everything works. Power ON, short wait until the display from red to green switch, fill the removable water tank and refit, insert capsule - and within a short time (varies by drink, but mostly it's not even half a minute) you have a delicious hot drink! The machine also has an automatic switch-off and switch off by itself when it is not used for five minutes. A star deduction there for that the water tank has no gauge - but as always certain amounts of water to be used for the individual beverage capsules have to even measure with a small measuring cup, the corresponding quantities and then really fill only as much in the tank as is consumed becomes. Otherwise, that is namely a matter of luck!
Cleaning is also straightforward - simply wash the capsule holder and the drip tray and replace them later. The drip tray can be hooked by the way at different levels so you can tailor it very well on the size of the glass or cup.
Conclusion: I'm thrilled! A comparison with similar devices from other manufacturers I can not really do because I just did not really compare it to, but the ease of use and cleaning as well as the taste very delicious drinks speak in my opinion in any event for the "Dolce Gusto" ...: o)
