The installation of the plates and the basic configuration of the device were really easy (my 10 years old son has helped and it would also hammer out itself). Until the plates were formatted it takes a while, which can be a point of criticism, however.
The NAS is fully equipped by its variety of functions here, yet easy 3.0-called user via the browser on the DSM and intuitive to use.
On the Synology site a demo version of DSM 3.0 runs.
DSM 3.0 is also a complete replacement for Windows Home Server for me.
The plates off after a defined time in the power-saving standby mode.
I take care of so that the whole house with all kinds of media, but also the backup of all PCs are on. The accesses are always fast and reliable. There are all kinds of terminals connected to PCs, laptops (Windows 7, XP, 2000) and network media player.
USB printers can provide the network, the data on NAS I can access via the Internet.
The rate dips described a few tests when copying very large files I can not understand.
The device provides for me the perfect solution. Price-performance ratio very good.
I would buy it again at any time and it can also lead to 100% recommend.
