- Boxedware with manual
- 2 pedals (L + R)
- Shimano cleats screw set incl.
Assembly:
- Simply turn out the old pedals and the new plan
- For the first trips I recommend the pedals on the lightest trigger set
- The pedal is a double pedal, so you can click it with the shoes on both sides, hence the trigger mechanism must be set per pedal also 2x, 1x for the upper and 1x for the lower side. The setting is made by Allen and is very easy + = resistant, - = simple triggering.
First Impression:
I already use the SPD system on a road bike,
these pedals I have mounted on a trekking bike, so I can use the same shoes.
My old Ultegra pedals click from simple and have for clicking only one side.
The 520L are the Ultegras in every way, on the contrary, I find it much more practical one has 2 sides to come in.
Excessive sponginess and too much flexibility to the side I can not confirm.
Possibly are expensive pedals a little easier, but 380Gramm for both is to cope well.
One can draw very firm, even on the lowest setting, without this leading to a Auslössen, perfect !!
After about 400km I am completely convinced of the pedal, especially since my last Cleats have already cost 14Euro and here nearly 26euro for pedals and cleats incl. Postage ....
From me a strong buy recommendation for SPD (Shimano Pedaling Dynamics) fans on MTB, trekking or bike
Ready for the road bike there are better or lighter pedals, but not for the price;)
