If you want to upgrade to the new standards, you target processor 6 or 8 cores on 2011-V3 socket you will find yourself in the hands to have a motherboard with X99 chipset and there is to it will DDR4 turn to.
So here I am with, between the hands, those huge DDR4 modules that will fit on a MSI Gaming X99S card with a 5820K !!
Cocks, in terms of power: it has 4 modules running at 3000MHz for a total of 16GB of memory in quad channel.
Please note that by Cocks, also in terms of dimensions !! We have height 55mm modules so beware. I think all configurations and all venti-rad will not be compatible with these modules. For me it goes well with the Noctua NH-U9S.

The modules are delivered with these profiles:

So YES it is expensive compared to what BUT .... if you look at the range of entries DDR4 can find KITS 200 for the 4x4Go but it is far from 3000MHz, 2133MHz only one is.
If we start looking at the KITS to 3000MHz and it is clear that we are dealing with the best value except G.Skill Ripjaws 4 Series that are a little cheaper and with better hair CAS.
But if you look above you will see that for frequencies above 3300MHz can reach 700 or 800 still to 16GB. So finally it's not so expensive. And compared to euro left between the X99 motherboard and proc ......

So for me this series is a great product, the strips heat only very few (thank you the sink but not only, thank you to 1.35V only)

In short I highly recommend these modules to those spirited to equip with the latest computer technology unless the height of the modules is a problem.
