With Arc of a Diver (published in 1980) succeeded Steve Winwood both one of the best albums of Generes and with the 1st track (While You See a Chance) a great success on the charts. The artist acts here as a one-man-show, composed all the pieces, they play a, sings and produces itself. Surely a high standard which only a few are so good just like Steve Winwood. He convinced both as a singer and musician and as a composer and producer. The pleasing arrangements supported by keyboards and guitars as well as the thoughtful use of instruments and effects provide a phenomenal overall impression. Each song on the album has its own character but subordinates itself to the overall concept under. 1980 appeared as an analog record the work lives on as a CD. The technical quality is excellent. A particularly high-quality edition the album in 1993 as Original Master Recording (Gold CD) published. The CD side dishes include the lyrics, but are otherwise been very lean. Conclusion: This album is for every ambitious pop music collection a must.
