- I ordered a 8pin including adapter cable and get.. Nevertheless, the jumper settings are strangely on 12pin preset (ON / ON / OFF / OFF - see Table this would prop wrong..) - In reliance on the manufacturers I have connected the module without any changes - was this no problem, was immediately recognized and working properly.
- When connecting cables should have been on the module side let the jacket go up to the plug. If you put the module only into the glove compartment or somewhere where it is often moved me, I see a risk that at some point breaks one of the thin wires.
- When installing the jack cable for micro, I realized that the microphone cable is plugged in at the front, while the Aux-In cable is plugged into the back next to the interface cable. Better I would have found it, if the on-board connectors on one side and the audio connectors on the other side would have. So you would have in place with the slots to the front can beautifully attach with Velcro visually appealing in the glove compartment. Now I have to cross so I block through the small bending radius not break the microphone cable risking.
- The microphone works through the foam but very powerful - hopefully dients of voice quality. Furthermore, the micro is provided with only one terminal. I have now helped me using power strips or mirror adhesive tape and the terminal mounted. Would have wished that at least included some (screw or double-sided tape) to attach the microphone better.
o Voice quality in the state and at low speed ok. At higher speeds, one must not expect too much (for this price mE sufficient)
Tip: The cable for the mass had a small eyelet with me. On the left side of the Concert small Torx screws are in my body. I solved one of them and screwed to the eyelet, as the radio housing is mass leader. In the installed state is enough space available, that nothing is stuck or scrubs. Works perfectly and I had none of the wires from the radio harness hurt.
Tip2: At Audi, are provided in the interior lighting module slots (from the seat space than to see small grid) for the factory microphones. For vehicles without factory-FSE there just foam blocks are inserted. Kufatec (FISCON) or Ampire offer your systems for ca 25-30 on an aftermarket micro that was designed exactly for this recess and also the matching jack has. I have not tested it, so can not say whether the voice quality will also change slightly. For aesthetic reasons, a hidden microphone is but for me worth considering.
