I chose the Fitbit One after hesitating with the Jawbone UP and Fitbit Flex bracelets which are (roughly) the same functions. I much prefer to put the camera in my pocket or belt all day than have a bracelet that is not necessarily daily matched with my clothes. And unlike the other two, the One has a graphical interface that lets you know in real time where we are our goals, so it's probably more motivating.
The interface on computer via the Fitbit site is good. I do not have a smartphone compatible with the Fitbit One unfortunately so I will not say anything about that.
To enter physical activities and meals, it is recommended to combine with a profile on Fitbit "MyFitnessPal", which has improved database (I speak of it because it's the one I chose, but there may be others just as good).
That said, learn all meals and activities each day takes a lot of time, so I did the first day, but then I quickly abandoned. This still gives valuable information to estimate ladle calories we take when we eat a particular dish, and those that we lose during a given activity. So do occasionally only remains consistent in the approach, even if it is not enough for the software to accurately calculate the calories taken / lost each day.
I am particularly satisfied with the data synchronization, which occurs automatically when I am away from the computer when plugged my USB accessory. No need to get to the handheld device. And since it stores the activities of the previous days, no obligation to sync every day to see its results afterwards.
The battery lasts roughly 1 week, and recharging is simple via USB. The very fact that the device is very enjoyable.
Finally, the main reason I bought the Fitbit One was the silent alarm clock, not to disturb my partner prefers greasy pole '. This function is busy (then remains to leave the bed so so quiet ...) and I hardly use this function it actually is. The downside to this level is required to go through the computer to set the alarm. So if you do not have access 24h / 24 and you want to change our waking time at the last moment, it is better to have a true revival at hand ... But I guess smartphone users don ' not have this problem.
The 4 stars I give therefore express the Fitbit One perfectly fulfills the expected functions, with minimal constraints. But the seizure of all food and physical activity data were too laborious, it is difficult to follow realistically taken and its calories expended daily. This is an interesting tool to realize what can be improved in our lifestyle, but probably not the magic wand that will tell you what to eat and how physical activity practice every day.
