Picture: 10/10 points
The picture is excellent. Scharf. Clear. And the colors are terrific. Straight out of SD signals (Satellite TV without HD +) makes the TV a lot. Setting options are available en masse, so that everyone can make the image according to his ideas. Even with fast movements, there are no problems so far (however, could be different in larger diagonal). All in all, top marks for the image.
Sound: 7/10 points
The sound is, for such a flat LED TV, okay. However, it is clear that he can not compete with a small compact system or the like. The transfer to the AV receiver via optical cable is functioning properly (Dolby Digital 5.1 also arrives at the receiver, if available). Point deduction, because I like the TV speakers but are too feeble to me then.
Operation, menus, remote control: 3/10 points
The operability of the device is not the best. Although he usually does what he should. The reactions of the TVs are a bit slow at times.
The menu navigation is very cumbersome. For example, to turn on the Sleep Timer, you need at least 10 keystrokes if you can find him at all. In other points would be a simpler and clearer layout desirable. Mostly there is also a bucking when graphical menus appear.
Programme edit I've seen much worse and more complicated. There is a list of tiles (4x5 per side). These can then be easily moved or sent directly to a specific place. Is determined even better for me but perfectly OK.
The remote control keys are arranged very unusual. Figures are as at the bottom. The relative sizes of the keys do not make sense. Important keys such as for switching, are very small, others that you hardly needed are again quite large. The pressure point of the keys does not like me. Rarely a so badly seen designet remote control.
So here there is definitely still a need for improvement.
Other Features: 8/10
Especially I like here is the fact that there is a recording function on a USB hard drive. This only works with Internet connection, but this should be through the built-in wireless receiver in most cases no problem. Can program recordings are then, for example, on the program guide, which is downloaded from the Internet (for slow Internet connections (384kbit / s) takes the whole a little longer on slower connections or if other devices still burden the line, however, can lead to problems but usually it worked for me). Watch recordings can unfortunately only on this unit (or any other Philips equipment?).
The time shift function works beautifully. Just press the Pause button to answer the phone, press play and continue watching.
Apps such as YouTube or Facebook, there are, but they have so far hardly been tested, since the input of words using the remote control is quick to fight. Connecting a keyboard could resolve this problem (I unfortunately currently no lying around).
Conclusion:
Total result for me 8/10 (image 50%, all other points in equal parts). Especially with images and value for money I am very satisfied. But I like to take the disadvantages to use in purchasing. In my opinion has been saved in the right places. Considering the price, I'd rather 4.5 than 4 stars to give, but for full 5 it is sufficient, because of the described drawbacks, unfortunately not.
