In the first attempt I was sent a cable that looks exactly like in the picture: A simple, round cable, which opens in the middle of the Sata connector. ... And it was not working. Cable went back.
I looked around for alternatives to, even tried a PCIe card, but was not bootable, and came after 10 weeks on this cable here. In my second order me now a cable was sent, that looks just like on the Delock Homepage: A longer flat cable that combines a flat and a round cable, and off-center opens in Sata connector. ... And it works!
As written in my review for a matching Delock eSATApd Slotblech, you can here easily infect any SATA device: HDD 2.5 inches and 3.5 inches, SSDs, CD / DVD drives, external caddy, etc. All are supplied with data and power = very practical and straightforward. Simply dranstecken -> running!
Important:
The port in which the eSATApd-end of the cable is plugged in (port-source), must provide both 5V and 12V! Most notebooks do that probably not.
If the cable does not work with z. B. with a 3.5 inch hard drive, check times, whether it has a round, or getting a little flatter cable. The correct cable has the Delock Item no. The 84,402th is even shown on the Amazon page, but anyway I was already the wrong cable sent (see top).
Conclusion: If the proper cable is supplied, it is combined with the right (12V) PC connection tied together, which is in my view correct PlugAndPlay times, as it should be. Because you can do anything "fast connect times", which has a SATA connector.
Tips for sellers: When in describing the Delock eSATApd Slotblech is mentioned as a suitable connection-source, the sale is expected to increase.
