I was initially unsure whether a change is worthwhile, but so far I have not regretted it! You can tell that the Pixie is already a machine of advanced generation, as some small items were improved:
So now there is the possibility, the cable to stow inside the machine, so that in the kitchen not an unnecessary amount of cables lying around - so it looks very tidy.
The cleaning is now very good (compared to latissima), all parts are easy to remove and clean. However, I also noticed that the Pixie consists of a lot of plastic, unfortunately this is not as high, but still makes a solid impression. The reduced size (I had the latissima standing in the kitchen) makes itself extremely positive effect, the machine is really very small and compact and there is again a bit more space! It's also nice lighting in white (and red with a little water / waste container is full).
There is not much to say, the tastes excellent also from the Pixie, strikes me personally a little hotter than before from a LeCube to Espresso / Lungo themselves. Thanks folding pad also a latte macchiato can be prepared easily.
# Pro:
-Very Fast startup (about 25-30 sec. Until the first espresso can be prepared)
-Small And compact, really fits in almost any kitchen
-Private design, color selection
-Kabelaufnahme In housing
-farbliche signaling water level and capsule containers (red light with a little water in the tank / waste container is full)
Illumination in white
-Easy cleaning of parts
- "Automatic" at capacity
-Auto Off after 9 min (can be extended up to 30 min)
-The entire Nespresso service including shops / Hotline / website -. really great!
Cons:
-It Was unfortunately built much Plakstik (Only side panels and arm are still "massive" (yet the machine acts valent)
-No "Real" power switch, so unfortunately I do not know if the machine draws current even when switched off (?)
-Coffee / Espresso Cups of Nespresso very expensive
Conclusion: If no Nespresso has, can here safely access, as the owner of a Nespresso I would think given the just ended voucher action again, if I would really change the Pixie - the Nespresso tastes just outstanding from other machines, but you have to waive the small innovations.
Addendum:
I use the Pixie now for about six months and am still as enthusiastic as on the first day! Ok, the water tank could be a bit bigger, but that would be only a minimal improvement! The mentioned here I can not see drops, the machine is just great and has even more decalcification behind (do not forget!)
Kombatibilität to "Rewe-Cups"
Meanwhile, the patent for the Nespresso aluminum cups has fallen, so that other manufacturers may produce coffee cups. I've tried the cups of REWE here and can say that they can be prepared with 100% of the Pixie. The one time or another fall of the Cup not so elegant in the collection container as the original aluminum cups, but if you nachhilft something that goes well. The taste I find the Rewe Cups also good.
