Yesterday, the yellow warning light starts to blink on the unit, indicating that the cartridge must be replaced after a further 150 lightning. (!) Maybe 30 flashes afterwards it was then even if the yellow light lit up permanently and pointed it to not move forward!
Well, apparently the 1500 flashes (according to the description heck hold so long) verblitzt;
a new cartridge for the princely sum is necessary.
I have removed the cartridge and (as an electronics I can not help it) open (3 Phillips screws). Inside are located on a printed circuit board except 2 conventional flash tubes (with slight traces, but in apparently quite usable condition), only a small electronic component (TO92 housing with 3 Haxerl). It is the memory chip DS2431, in the apparently seated in the computer unit enters the number of flashes.
Besides the fact that since no consideration is given to the actual condition of the flash tubes and also the strength of the lightning is not considered, the memory module as the data sheet can be removed ([...]) type as described, count only up to 1024 and NOT to 1500, that is, you can only make good 30% less than lightning use is stated in the description.
That's (neudeutsch :) planned obsolescence and forces itself on the suspected fraud
under the speculation that the consumer does not count the flashes.
PS: I'll try to replace the memory module (costs cent range)
and the flash cartridge reuse.
