Yes - now I can actually say that this is an extremely successful work of the guys that has stylistically not too much to do at first sight with the previous albums.
However, one penetrates a little deeper into the matter one, you will notice similar song structures as in past times, up only slightly pimped by zeitgeist just rhythm foundation and synthetic accompaniment.
Bill's voice is in my opinion also here unmistakable and again become better. In some reviews of the album the band was accused of working here with autotune!?! Yes - what else?
These reviewers should me please even call artists nowadays dispense entirely with this tool. You will not find!
Moreover, even the accusation of the four, it would be everything you ever been there, only from other bands, not to be taken seriously.
When the top 100 in the last 20 to - 30 years even look, everything is almost ever been in any way since; here no one has reinvented the wheel but simply made "his music".

I can only give the recommendation not to let this album casually dabble as background music, but it repeatedly concentrated to lead to mind. Then is revealed in small touches and the roundings again proven skills of boys.
For me it has always been in the last 40 years so that an album that to me becomes apparent only after repeated listening, then one of my favorites. "Kings of Suburbia" has what it takes to be seamlessly classified in this list.
