Delivery and packaging
The set comes in a printed cardboard. The screen and 2 cameras, which are included, are well protected in Kunststoffinlets. You are using the 3 supplied power supplies (5V, 1A) operated. The instructions are 2-sided in English and you can omit actually, it does not tell a lot especially. A holder with suction cup still belongs to monitor the delivery, so you can attach the monitor to a disc.
The Monitor
The monitor has a 7-inch display, which is adequately dimensioned for monitoring purposes. The brightness is very good and also suitable for brighter environments. The resolution is 800x480 pixels. It is, as well as the cameras, operated via a 5V power supply unit 1A. I have the power consumption with a Voltcraft Energy Check remeasured 3000 and this is in operation with the cameras only 3 watts. Thus, the operating costs for video surveillance are very low.
On the left side there are 5 small keys with which to navigate through the menus or the camera changes. On the back is the input for the power supply (power supply) and the video output if you want to transfer the image onto a larger screen.
The monitor can be portrayed either a fold-out stand or you can use the supplied bracket with suction cup to attach to a disk.
The cameras
Although it is a 4-channel video surveillance system, only 2 camera are included. For my needs, from 2 cameras. I could, however, also been discovering not constitute an offer, where you can buy more individual cameras.
The cameras have a metal case and are very stable, but not weatherproof. Who wants to monitor outside, should be looking for a weather-protected place for assembly.
The foot of the cameras is a bit small. If you want this just stand up, it's a bit wobbly. It is better to use the 3 screw holes in the base for fixing. Alternatively, sufficient for indoor installation etc. also a Posterstrip to fix from. The infrared bulbs are just as the camera behind a protective screen and allows a night vision up to 15 meters, according to manufacturers. I would rather say that it is 10 meters, but that's for the small cameras and a decent performance.
The dimensions are small, as are the Stummelanntene for wireless transmission. This enables discreet mounting or installation.
Installation and Operation
The installation is very simple. You simply connect the cameras and the monitor with the power supplies and the rest is automatic. While there is a "Paring" button on the cables of the cameras, but I did not press. The image was then as now. Via the menu you can select the following views Views:
1 camera view: Here you can see the picture of a camera. You can then switch this manually
4 Channelview: Here the screen is divided into four parts and can be seen up to 4 cameras. However, since only 2 are connected, 2 squares remain black
Shop View Switch: Here the screen changes back and forth-at regular intervals between the cameras as we know it from various department stores. Ideal if you prefer the large display, but both cameras would have in mind.
The image quality does not break any records in terms of resolution, but is perfectly adequate for surveillance purposes, and most other applications. By radio transmission in the 2.4GHz range which is similar to WiFi, up to 300 meters outdoors. I have a stable transmission throughout the house. Watching you should, because this also sparks with wireless routers also 2.4GHZ, which can cause interference. The image transfer is absolutely Ruckel and trouble-free.
I had installed the entire system, including unpacking in 20 minutes. The images are useful, especially, it is convenient that you also can watch and record at night. So you have a claim evidence at hand.
For the recording feature a micro SD card is required (up to 32GB). The recording function can be easily activated via the menu.
Miscellaneous and Conclusion
What I really like about this Überwachungsstem, is the fact that one gets easily installed without special training there. I also use IP cameras and where you have a lot more time stuck in the configuration. Here one has a Plug & Play solution without frustration.
The price is for a 2 camera system is surprisingly affordable and the quality delivered is absolutely fine. I lack only the indication of where you get additional cameras.
The system is very suitable for home monitoring, but is also likely to semi-professional (eg monitoring of small shops) satisfy claims. Who wants also monitor his baby, the possibilities are endless.
