The Hub / LAN combo adapter runs under Windows 8.1 without the need to seek a driver CD.

The network performance is as far as I can tell with my network components properly, my NAS is compared to an onboard gigabit NIC not slowed down. Since I have no appliances that I can not judge whether there are disadvantages compared to PCIe adapters in the high-end border area to fully exploit the Gigabit.

Even something positive: a USB3 stick has directly in Port of notebooks timing problems running the hub stable without sacrificing performance.

For me a clear recommendation for LAN lots USB3 notebooks.
