What I particularly like about the P300:
a) Without Case is the camera - at least for men - pockets compatible. This is just as important as a fast boot from my experience for rapid deployment. The size of the P300 is in this regard but at the upper limit.
b) very quickly adjust the exposure compensation in addition to also color saturation and color temperature makes the way in P program mode, P300 for me a creative tool. Here also the well-designed operating concept will be fully applied.
c) On holiday in Portugal I have created in the caves of Lagos with the camera photos in rapid succession. You drive on small boats with outboard from the open sea in a variety of caves - at usually quite ordinary waves. The exposure must here so quickly switch from harsh open sea to different dark caves. The quality of the videos and the photos under these difficult conditions has surprised me absolutely positive. Here, the simple handling of the camera is crucial in such situations. (Also time to bring the camera out of the boat spouting spray in security.)
d) The supplied photo tool ViewNX 2 is for quick organization and basic optimization of the photos now with me the tool of choice. (Thus, it has tools such as Photoshop Elements, Magix Photo Desinger 7 displaced.)
This brings me also equal to what I miss in practice:
e) RAW format! This would also be possible in ViewNX features like exposure compensation and white balance.
f) hot shoe for external flash. This limits the possibilities kreaktiven yet again significantly.
g) micro-jack or something like that.
Conclusion: For a pocket-camera, the P300 offers serious photo features and is very well balanced. She has no critical weaknesses (image quality, autofocus) and is in use (especially if you want to adapt itself parameters) exemplary. It is a small all-in-one with the potential for creative photos and Full HD videos.
