"Poet of the Apes" also like people

I am one of the lucky ones who could hear Tommy Finke's new album 'Poet of the Apes / Poet of the Apes' something in advance, and like to share a small review with for those who have to wait;)

Who has not yet decided whether he wants to buy the album, I can only say: I would definitely recommend! I'm already a fan of Mr. Finke, and I find his music just keeps getting better. Lovers of Britpop and German bands like Tele and singers like Rio Reiser is sure to please the music, and those who appreciate clever lyrics are, will not be disappointed.

In my opinion, there are his lyrics, which distinguishes Mr. Finke of many other musicians. Of course, it is also true that I find his songs very ohrwurmig, and that to me many of them simply do not go out of my head! But I want to focus on his lyrics, because I myself am not a musician, and find it easier to judge the quality of words :) An example of his originality: In 'future husband -' 'without question my favorite song' - it's about a perhaps not-so-far future lying where you are only friends with their computer. The theme is carried atypical and touching. His other songs also offer many individual beads, eg 'The sun shines because only / to tabloid level' (No Ferry) or the masterly durchgeworbenen sayings in verses of 'They Are A Punk Band' (sometimes look at the double / and sometimes they see light / sometimes they do not also see the forest for the trees / and sometimes see things for them not rosy ...)

His writing skills can be admired in the English versions. I mean this not in the sense of "'That's good ... made for a non-native speaker."' No, Mr. Finke has also created some English text lines, followed by a native speaker could be proud of. (! And I must say that I myself am a native speaker of English) Instead of selecting a few lines, I recommend only that everyone simply 'Leaving the City' and 'Tomorrow Man' sounds' - the two are quite admirable!

To summarize: Mr Finke is another great album to, replete with beautiful, something different-sounding pop music and hervorrangden texts. I hope he finally gets the credit for this time, he deserves a long time!
