For track-by-track review:
Thanks For Nothing
And now here we know exactly where the strength of the board is. The opening track is damn catchy and next pop-punk in the chorus dive especially in the verses fairly strong indie influences. Furthermore, to make "Thanks For Nothing" just a good mood, the clapping mobile and loose guitars spread some festival atmosphere.
Freak
With "Freak" the guys are a little bit harder. It is now with the music and is in a flow, which one can not escape. From pop punk we go here even in a short Scream Part. The guitars and strong drums drive the song about his 2:48, which thus also has the perfect length and do not get bored.
Stoned
And once again played with other influences - here it's mostly garage rock. The guitars come quite dirty and therefore the number presents itself as a mix of All Time Low and the Hives, but the guys have their special sound, so a comparison is very difficult. In any case, "Stoned" a damn cool number and one of the highlights.
I Just Wanna Run
"I Just Wanna Run" is the so far best known song of the boys. Again, the terrific played guitars are pretty much in the foreground, but singer Cameron Leahy grows here also vocally beyond itself, he takes really great scene in set ups with and the guitar solo at the beginning of the second third of the number is really fun. Rarely have I heard a catchy chorus.
She Knows
And again they do everything right - harmonious use of voice and accompanied great, is "She Knows" a feel-good rocker at its finest. In addition, the number is just written with great and musical playfulness in the last third (solo!) Also adds "She Knows" again a new, great component added.
Let's Be Animals
The title track is simply absolutely convincing and has simply ingenious lyrics, which you should take to heart.
Let's take off our clothes, run through the streets, screaming at the moon, and scuff up our feet. Wont hear a word, Cause They probably say were terrible, lets be animals. - This is one of my favorite quotes from songs because it's just true. Musically fits back together and everything here is at least clear that the really come a new star in the pop-punk heaven here MUST.
Wake Up
Even this number is great fun and is almost anthemic therefore. "Wake Up" is a typical pop-punk with driving drums (Jimmy Eat World are as a comparison object, perhaps the next) and a really good guitar sound that blends seamlessly into the album and his mood is just right for Flow.
Medicine For You
This is the only song of the record, which can be ("Therapy" by All Time Low) compare with a beginning rather similar titles. "Medicine For You" starts quietly, then increases but in a really strong, emphatic rocker who loses towards the end of melancholy, but compared to the other tracks is somewhat weaker.
Alibi
The number starts very quietly and then increases in a driving song with great vocals, great guitars and a fantastic atmosphere. "Alibi" is extremely vivid, the Woo-hoo "'s must sing easily and you can not keep quiet just when you hear this title - class thing!
Tell Me a Lie
Again first falls on the guitar sound, then the song is burning and you can also easily escape here to sing and at least mitzuwippen not. The topic is as in the previous songs a love story that ended a bit inconvenient. But with rock'n'roll piano and breaking previous guitar does not fall on that and it will be the musical variability simply not boring.
Losing My Mind
If at the beginning (thankfully) a bit of Green Day and is then again a typical Downtown fiction song. The number is honest, persuasive and you get back gives a positive mood, despite the usual themes. The solo part is really strong and quite jazzy sound is damn catchy.
Sierra
Wow! Even the beginning is great class, but still pretty quiet before a pop-punk song first class rises, although it has a certain melancholy in themselves, but maintains a rock sound that makes the chorus appear hymnal.
A Wonderful Surprise
After I took some time to warm up to the verses, "A Wonderful Surprise" for me is a really strong title who knows absolutely convincing especially in the chorus and also here you caught yourself singing along. Extra note are certainly here the grandiose Bridge and the great end.
Hurt Me So Good
Does anyone know the Sweden of Sugarplum Fairy? Well, if ever, I would like here again to install a small comparison. The mix of garage rock and pop rock succeed The Downtown Fiction as good as it actually creates only said Scandinavian band. At the end so again an absolute cracker.
Conclusion:
This one could be enriches Pop Rock Punk times a great band. With catchy melodies, texts and not necessarily typical for this genre musical variability manage The Downtown Fiction convincing right down the line. No title is a failure, no one will get bored - even if you can hear the disc more than einman day.
Her music is honest, their music is inventive and their music manages to forget the world for forty-five minutes.
In short: This is pop-punk as it should be - original and unused!
