+ Powerful engine + Good rule options + Stable - Poor circulation of the liquid in the mixing bowl - Difficult to clean - Difficult to open lid The Brown JB 5160 should my old Braun MX 2050 replacing the unfortunately died with a loud bang. The Brown JB 5160 has a powerful motor which can be controlled very well. But what failed is the mixing bowl. The base ring is made of thin plastic, with many grooves, edges and cavities and thus difficult to clean. The lid of the jar is difficult to open. The big disappointment is the mix-behavior. I use the blender mainly ice cream (gross weight) to produce, this is slightly viscous. Old Brown had so no problems at all, the new JB5160 fails this across the board. It is not sufficient circulation state in the ice and thus omitted the mixture of ingredients. Worse, always forms around the knife around an air bubble. Then the mixing procedure should be discontinued, lid open, mass will be pushed down, and then it goes on. So I need at least 4 to 5 minutes to mix the ice, the old Braun MX 2050 abolished the in 30sec. A note to the developers Braun: the diameter must get closer to the glass! Why was the old MX 2050 does not simply continue to build? So the Blender goes back unfortunately and I'm looking on to another device. Addendum on 19/03/2015 (because not all read the comments): For a week I have a Magimix Le Blender. And the thing is excellent, expensive (220 Euro in the 'Stainless Steel' version), for 3-year warranty. The Magimix Le Blender is really well made, to better regulate the motor unit as the Brown JB5160 and the amount of stirring is fantastic, even better than my old Braun blender. Even with zähestem porridge manages the Magimix yet to produce in which he hacked purely sucks everything right and a whirlpool. Have the Magimix tormented properly in the first week and it exceeded my expectations. And the design is well done. Unrestricted buy recommendation from me.
