For infrequent use and thin branches I had nothing to complain about. Anyway, my unit has kept as nearly two years. But then the first disappointment with the first somewhat stronger branches (Gardena are even max. 32 mm on). The knife went no longer apart. After opening the case, the problem was quickly identified. The rope had jumped out of the guide, had hooked up and so badly damaged that it was unusable. The second disappointment: This damage can not be repaired because the company Gardena can not supply as spare parts of this rope. After all, the Gardena service offered me a replacement unit. Nevertheless, there remains a stale aftertaste. On the one hand I do not want to support this throwaway mentality and on the other hand it is feared that the replacement device is not made to last. The problem is apparently by design, as well as the reports of other users on the Internet show.
