The Wok I personally most expendable, but that is a matter of opinion. Another useful accessory there are, among others:
- Cover extension
- Cutting board (the Cobb-cap fits it)
Now to the actual grill, which is small, but big comes out:
Although produced in China (one quickly connects yes Billigkram so) the grill is processed quite outstanding! The stainless steel is OK, as I can state after prolonged use.
This grill you can actually set up and operate safely anywhere: on wood, plastic, lawn, whereever. Thus it is also perfect as a tabletop grill. I did it myself hard to believe, but the lower part (the outer shell) is actually absolutely cool! That alone is in itself very much worth, especially when you are traveling.
The Quick BBQ briquette are as an entry OK. Of the widely-praised Cobble Stone I personally am not so confident (smell) and prefer to use "Grillis" (charcoal briquettes beech by the manufacturer proFagus). Lighting the briquettes is simply because under the carbon cage is enough space and distance for a Anzündwürfel. And the following is now important to know: Because of the lack of air regulating the number of briquettes determines the heat in the grill (!)! This requires quite the odd experiment with different food to be grilled.
For grilling myself: Some people just knock a few sausages on it (it does but then also a disposable grill or a gas station BBQ), while others prefer to prepare extensive dishes. Of course, this grill is suitable for both. Through the work of Cobb lid like a kettle grill and thus similar to a "convection oven", so this function is desired -> highly recommended by the way! The Cobb has quite enough cooking area to (at least) to supply a small family with grilled food. By design can drip onto the briquettes no fat, thus there is no unwanted odors and no blazing flames. For a juicy BBQ result optionally a little water (or beer / wine) can be placed in the groove of the inner shell.
Another highlight is the minimalistic fuel consumption! Already around 6 to 10 Grillis (alternatively a Cobble Stone or a Quick BBQ briquette) suffice for a long grilling pleasure of approximately 2 hours. Smoke, there is little or no! Who wants yet smoken which can scatter like eg hickory chips on the briquettes. Works flawlessly with the Cobb! ;-)
The Cobb grill plate is a bit susceptible to dirt and should be bathed immediately after use in hot wash water as possible in order to solve the barbecue residues. Then the grill plate and the Cobb (inner shell and cover) can be used in the dishwasher. Thereafter, the whole magic disappear in the carrying bag.
I recommend before buying even seek advice from the dealer, whether by phone or mail.
The Cobb is simply ingenious and very practical. - Strong buy recommendation!
