I had two bags that fit in my opinion, in this profile, and to exercise other (Lowepro Fastpack 200) sent back and keep it. The differences are explained in the following text briefly:
- = = Benefits -
Top Tray:
The top compartment is really very spacious and has in my opinion, enough space for anything else you need for a day trip (in addition to the DSLR equipment).
I really liked that the quasi runs the zipper of the upper compartment as a top-loader and so the pages can not be opened by the zipper and thus can fall out when you open things. This is considerably better than the Fast Pack when Versapack.
Comfort:
Indispensable is the chest for me. A waist strap is also included in Versapack, but can be removed completely. When FastPack missing both chest and waist strap. This is bad in comfort as a disadvantage because the pack can then slide off quickly. Just wenns rough approaching you want to avoid the expensive camera at the yet.
Tripod:
Currently, I still have none, but the Versapack provides a complete tripod mount. The non FastPack.
Rain cover:
Is integrated when Versapack. Although I do not plan to go outside to take pictures when it rains. But sometimes you will just surprise and then it is useful to have such a rain hood. When FastPack would have to purchase them separately.
- = Neutral = -
Padding and place:
Here I see par both backpacks. The top compartment is in both the same size and the area at the bottom of the camera as well, as long as you - Attention! - Not the lateral. Wants to use the Quick Access Versapacks (see below).
The upholstery is so good, that I have no real fear for my equipment.
Processing:
Here are two pockets on a same, high level.
- = = Cons -
Lateral. Shortcut:
The interior dividers with Velcro fastenings is really not useful for the lateral. Shortcut designed. Somehow one always missing an element, or on the side where you want to fix something no Velcro is sewn.
The opening is not just big, just as where the right hand wants to tackle the camera body, the opening is even slightly narrower.
I have after much back and forth but found a configuration with which I can live halfway. These wasted some space of then missing the third lens. Here the FastPack is thoughtful.
To this end, there is a star deduction.
Conclusion:
If you can live with the stigma above, can access safely here.
If the equipment to grow, to get probably no way around a new, larger bag.
