The cable is relatively thick and therefore not very flexible but this is not absolutely within the framework and for me annoying. The cords are securely and do not slip thanks to the lock and out of its own accord. One can lock even without big pressure on the "button" solve the plug.
Failures, problems in the detection or display errors I could until now not observed (Monitor BenQ BL2400PT, test equipment: DisplayPort output from Asrock Z68 Extreme4 Intel graphics and ThinkPad X220 Tablet.
On the subject of sound, I can not say anything because I have no computer at a setting option for sound output via DisplayPort found.
I would give the cable a recommendation but unfortunately I can not say if it still can be problems in combination with other monitors or video cards may not.
Update from 6.1.2012:
======================
Recently I've noticed that the plug is "open" on the monitor has (so you could see the small individual cables inside view). It was not so easy to get the plug from the monitor, as it so unfortunately could not press the release button and I only had the two "parts" of the plug composed makeshift.
Once I finally get the plug out of the connector, I just pulled a small cable tie at the base of the release button to the plug. To keep the whole perfectly (although it does not look that great but who looks already behind the monitor).
I assume that the plug is gone apart when turning the monitor. Actually, should such a thing, but not even a slight mechanical stress happen (but still only 1 star deduction, since it does not bother me so massive and the cable (with a cable tie around the connector) works perfectly).
