Was looking for a simple lamp for the lower 3 rooms in our house and I came across these Philips lamp. After I bought the first one and so was very happy, I have ordered 2 parts. The lamp complies entirely your purpose and gives a beautiful warm light. The (converted) 40 Watt light up the rooms (16-25 square meters well. The optics played in these cases no role, although the lamp also looks pretty good. Clear recommendation!
