Installation works well on a thick tabletop. With the lower clamp the whole, however, seems much to the dismay of my wife, a little clunky.
When using me no feeling of high quality is mediated. It all feels reasonable and cheaper hard plastic processing, as one of Saitek has always been (unfortunately) is used. When movements sometimes occur small "Hakeleien", but which subside with progressive use. The zero point is not in any device optimally calibrated (two tested) and sizes a bit too big. Sometimes the X-axis wobble slightly.
The removable push Quadrant is okay. Unfortunately, this is to connect a PS / 2 port on the Yoke and the like do not like the individual to be acquired version, via USB. Also USB-PS / 2 adapter useless. This means if the Yoke, you have a useless Throttle Quadrant lying around. There were no further essays for the thrust levers at down depicted besides the three.
The Yoke has a USB hub, and a terminal for a, to be acquired separately, PSU.
All in all, I do not quite understand how some prices from 149 EUR may be required (Saitek has prices recently also for traders greatly increased) since this, except more hard plastic in control horn shape and the metal Y-axis, barely a cheap joystick differs.
The competition in the form of CHProducts Eclipse Yoke in this price segment is also not much cheaper and has the thrust controls to the top, which is not my aesthetic sensibilities. An external Quadrant is therefore an absolute necessity.
In the absence of real alternatives in this price range I opted for the Saitek Yoke. Nevertheless, I will not shake the feeling that for the same money you could also produce a higher quality product, especially as the Saitek Pro Flight Yoke System since six or seven years in the market hardly changed / improved.
