No pb reliability for me using that drive to transfer large amounts of data from one PC to another and for the backup. The access time and read write speed seem roughly equivalent to my big desktop WD (USB3 too) except that this model is tiny, light, pretty, ... I'm very happy with this purchase and would recommend it model. To grumpy who fell on a model problem, I would say that computer backup is not an exact science: ladies and gentlemen, always 2 copies, one stored in a different place to counter fires and burglaries; it makes its copies to date desynchronized way for dealing with crashes; both copies are never physically in the same place; when a disc weakens, we change it without quibble (and old to unimportant activities is recycled). It is expensive, but unless there is 2 years old :)
