Me have two things to move me to buy this radio:
* I had already installed a Parrot handsfree in the car. This has worked well, only to manually enter a phone number while driving was hardly conduct (turning wheel).
* My old car radio had no way to connect SD cards or USB sticks.
Among the positive points of this radio:
+ It works without hanger
+ Touchscreen and screen work well and are also very easy to read
+ MP3 files have been all identified
Negatives:
- NO voice control - I would have known that before I would not have ordered it. There is no way to control the radio by language, hence no voice dialing or similar possible. I do not understand why you do not incorporates this feature (via firmware update). Most radios offer at least the possibility to use the voice dialing of the telephone - this unfortunately is not here.
- Dissolution of the not very good / supplied backgrounds screen look very cheap (either because of the subject or by the resolution of the screen)
- Detects not all USB sticks - I have not yet figured out what it is, but the radio does not detect all USB Sticks. Have tried 2 Sandisk 16gb drives and a 64GB flash drive. Formatted with NTFS and FAT32. The radio has detected no files on it. With a 1GB stick it then works normally. In the manual and on the internet I have found no information to know why this is (limited to under 16GB?). Maybe someone here knows more? Want me get a bigger stick for this, the then but should work ...
- Album cover display only works with iPod control via USB. Had I actually expected that the radio can display the album covers using the normal USB connection during playback. Unfortunately not possible. Even with Bluetooth that does not work (tested with an iPhone). Only the USB connection brings the cover for display.
- Bluetooth annoying unnecessary when there is no phone available - If you have not activated when the Bluetooth phone and you start the radio you will be constantly reminded that no phone was found and you have to choose whether the radio continued to search for it or not. What for? Why not just be silent (as it has made my old FSE)? If you then eventually turns Bluetooth you have to again manually into the menu and connect to the phone as it does not automatically re-examined after the phone during the drive (or you will turn off the car and start it again).
- As many have written: Here only AM / PM time display. Again, I do not understand why there is not a firmware update that adds this.
° My above-mentioned function would also not possible if you connect the radio as is actually required one has no way to dial a number on the touch screen (only be saved contacts can be selected), since this is not permitted while driving - hab not counting the times as purely negative, as this is perhaps a legal requirement.
° A little thing that I have not previously considered and not necessarily anything to do with this radio has perhaps others may be of interest: If you do not spend again almost 100 euros for an adapter to the radio to connect to the board bus annoying the way and manner as the radio is turned on / off. In the original radio that is only switched off if you pull the key out. So you can hear, for example, still further messages if one has arrived. Without the bus you have to attach the radio terminal 15 and therefore the radio is as soon as you stop the engine. One can then again that he go into the start position with the key again turns (interruption of a few seconds until it returns the radio signal supplies) and also has the problem that while the headlights, air-conditioning and co are also activated (unnecessary power consumption of the battery). In addition, the display of the currently tuned station on the radio on the board computer is no longer functional - but that should be obvious, since the interface is missing the bus.
All in all, the radio Price / Performance-wise ok. For (to my time of purchase) at 200 euros you can probably no longer be expected. In retrospect, I would not buy me but definitely the radio again. Far too many negative points and I think it works in a high-quality / relatively new car simply too cheap.
