The picture quality is good to very good 3D movies look very good on this device, but I have connected an external receiver, the Sky.
Built in the device hardware is for that matter not the best.
The quality I would describe as satisfactory, but this is my personal opinion.
I find no external receiver is not (variations in image quality more clearly without receiver than when operated with receiver). At least not if you want to have the maximum amount of image quality.
I have as a comparison a receiver of Sky and Kabel BW (Humax Fox iHD C) had off both the device got along very well. (I have no HD channels compared with normal channels that map was not to the receiver)

The Smart TV function is standard on the TV to the major weaknesses. Guests Apps I also made photos and appended hereto. Anyone looking for a smart TV, is with the device definitely ill-advised.

HbbTV thing applies properly on the Red Button if you use the internal hardware for image reproduction (DVB-C directly in my case antenna cable to the TV, etc)

Those who value a Smart TV, has to get to this unit to an external device such as a Orbsmart etc.
This should be kept in mind when purchasing.
The type of connection to the network: LAN via cable, Wifi via WPS and Key. It works both very well, in conjunction with my Fritz! Box 6360th
The media player works very well, DLNA streaming from the Fritz! Box works well. From the QNAP NAS TS-251 we went directly, as well as from the Plex Media Server of the NAS. The imagery is without stuttering reproduced via Wifi and also the LAN connection. Also, I find the reproduction of images, music and videos via USB succeeded.
If you need a power supply for an external device which is implemented via one of the USB ports, this will not work on the side just to the rear USB ports. I noticed when I wanted to watch Amazon Instant Video via Samsung Galaxy S5 on the TV 4,0m in conjunction with the Wicked Chili MHL cable.
USB Recording works only on Grundig Remote app from the Google Play Goals in connection with my Samsung Galaxy S5.

The shortcomings indicated have been no exclusion criterion for us as we have an external box for the Smart TV function and for better picture quality an external receiver.
We were aware of these weaknesses and have us still decided to purchase and did not regret it.
