In my opinion, the Benq is currently unbeatable in price performance. I have a good piece unpacked, connected, happy about the really high-contrast display ... and then annoyed, that it has a blue cast. After a brief spasm with OSD controls the read but resolved quickly. Why cramp with the settings? The buttons are placed behind the monitor, so you want to test different screen options is one bent all the time over the desk - for future long-term use was no longer disturbing.
Compared to my old Samsung T220 I have here, however, can not find "optimal" settings, instead, I have created a profile for Movies / Games and one for the normal functioning. Owed that's the really good panel, the colors / gamma / contrast can push a lot without being absurd - but that in continuous operation, for example, when reading is simply too strenuous and I therefore servicekit Change on a gentler setting. Schlieren in movies or games, I can not find the 4ms response time seem so fully to suffice. The integrated speakers are ok, considering the 2x 1 Watt behind - yet I wörde rather recommend external speakers with extensive use of multimedia applications.
Oh, a few more words to the housing.
It was (again) used piano lacquer and therefore there is certainly, purely by design, more beautiful and built-quality screen versions ... but instead you pay for this flat also again a few euros that we spend too much here;)
The slim frame of BenQ is so simple and chic on a good mix of. The only problem: The screen is not height adjustable. This can, however, be corrected by an additional VESA mount.
After a week of use, and the bottom line of Benq GW2760HS gets so from me 5 stars and a small
In short:
Pro:
+ Incredible contrast display
+ All three necessary connections available (HDMI, DVI, VGA)
+ Boxes with speaker output
+ Low response time (4 ms)
+ As soon as the screen
Contraindications:
- OSD requires familiarization & keys are installed suboptimal
- Color Settings insufficient in standard
- Screen not adjustable in height
#Update 1:
After a few weeks use, everything is still fine. Have a true color setting that one probably. this helps one or the other:
Custom profile (the others are not botch and offer all settings / gray)
- Color temperature: R max, G max, B (lue) 99
- Sharpness: 5
- Gamma: 2
- The contrast and brightness (you should probably from work etc. depending make): 50 & 22
#Update 2:
Subject probably only a minority (bought new boxes) After more than a year use, I noticed that the speaker output spits comparatively poor sound. In the subsequent test (speaker output of the BenQ vs. native speaker out of my notebook) was the clear reproducibly. The sound is much shallower, lacking the mid and bass. Previously, I had a small plant with a Splicing there turn, has prepared the bass, after the test is clear, however, that the rather moderate also doing well.
