After some research, I then decided to go for the Onkyo TX-NR509. Although he does not play in the league of the H / K but for my purposes (and now even lower claim for 2er children, to which one must take into consideration) is the Onkyo the correct device. Price / performance are simply good. Even if you do not, like me, has caught on an offer for under 300 on the receiver. (The planet with the rings)
I opted for the silver variant. Just looks noble. In daylight you may well recognize the key label better. In dimmed light, however, the advantage is not apparent. As you should know exactly where to press. ;-)
On the whole, everything is here already said about the Onkyo. What struck me rather negative, the OSD menu is. Looks like earlier in my Commodore C64. Since the nose is the 609 already in front. For the yes has a video chip inside and thus the OSD represent much better and graphic. But I absolutely do not need a 7.1 system at home it was the extra investment really not worth it, and over time you get used to it.
Also, the HDMI Through (passes an HDMI signal with the receiver) is not quite working. For me it was only in connection with enabled HDMI-CEC. This however is not always the way I would like. Have now switched from the whole lot and helped me differently. So also the power consumption in stand-by is also significantly reduced. Because with "active" HDMI Through be times verbrutzelt good about 30W.
The last negative point remains the crack problem in the connected iPod. Connection and control via USB run 1A. Unfortunately, you can hear a faint crackling when playing at irregular Anständen. (As with a not so clean record) yes Well, there are still software updates that something can possibly mend and should! For these negative things, there was of me therefore a star deduction!
Otherwise, I have nothing to complain about.
- Tone sounds great with my old Bose system.
- At the image of the connected devices, there is also nothing to complain about (as well, is indeed only 1: 1 looped through, because there is no video chip / upscaler available)
- Net radio works great. Either by direct input of a stream links to his favorite or via vTuner / LastFM, Napster etc.
- Music via DLNA with Win7 goes perfectly.
- Android app is also good. Although Laustärkenregelung is very inaccurate and grossly per app.
- All (HD) audio formats are played without any problems
- Assignment of HDMI and Digital inputs (SPDIF coaxial &) is advantageous and is wonderful.
- There are pre-out outputs what could then be realized by means of separate power amp but a 7.1 system.
- Stable speaker terminals are also suitable for banana plugs. Was very important to me since I have 6 mm² speaker cables with banana plugs. The rausziehen not forget the plugs in use! As is not pointed out in the BDA.
All in all a very good AV receiver of the middle class of the good performance reserves.
The one or other delicacies of course remains the top devices Onkyo left. In this price range he is absolutely superior to his colleagues. Have there always found something which was missing in the other.
In short - an absolute buy recommendation !!
