Pricey but worth every penny!

After half a year use and approximately 1000 shots I can the Canon EF 70-200 1: 4.0 L IS absolutely recommend! Although the ImageStabilizer consumed fairly current (Note: Make sure fresh batteries!), But enables telephoto shooting at up to 1/30 sec. From the hand, even in low light (shade, cloudy sky)! To save power, the IS may at any time be switched off! The ultrasonic autofocus Canon-typical silent, fast and perfect! For me, the biggest advantage is the weight of the lens: it weighs no more than a comparable "cheap" zoom (approx 700g), which is significantly less than its big brother (2,8 70-200 IS) and fits with ca . 20 cm length (the included sun visor not included!) in every photo bag. The image quality is among the best, which is to have Canon! With my Canon 350D makes this lens super-sharp and absolutely true-color images, even with my old EOS 50D it works great together! Meanwhile, I have "my" EF 70-200L IS constantly Camera and it's great fun to work with!
