Prima camcorder on the go with good recording quality

From the format slightly thicker than a phone, it fits in your pocket or in a small waist bag.

I tested the unit just a few days and am quite happy with it. The image quality is perfect, the shots come naturally really on a high-definition television to advantage.

Ensure that the zoom is electronic and non-optical, I find him not so bad as described elsewhere herein. Anyway, better compared to my old Komaktdigicam, when it was discovered distinct pixel structure when zooming. In flip the image when zoom is simply not quite as sharp HD, but to use well!

A little weakens the flip in too little light, then you can find a clear image noise. But even a light bulb can provide a remedy. Is just not a night vision device ...

Positive note is the good sound quality!

The maximum recording time is 2 hours, but a single file can be long just more than 1 hour, this is the file system. Mostly, however, you do eh shorter clips.

The handling is easy even for me with big hands, the simple operation is awesome. As with all small appliances also here a steady hand is needed.

Accessories:

One should use the included wrist strap or another manufacturer. Is simply safer, would be a shame if the Cam gets dropped.

The storage bag is useful when you want to plug the Flip into the jacket but a padded case would have been a better option.

The Flip Ultra HD has a mini HDMI connection, the manufacturer has not thought it necessary to settle an appropriate cable.

The software 'FlipShare' should be, so you have the latest version, download the Herstellersteite. Incidentally, it runs smoothly with Windows 7! Too much, however, one should not expect it, it is straight times suited to move the movies to the computer and to trim them. To cut it is less suitable, since I can recommend more 16 Deluxe Plus from version that can handle HD recordings with a software like Magix Video.

When I got the device, I had problems with the supplied battery first. He was simply not properly charged, the camera was always after a few minutes again empty. I was about to return the flip, but then found the net following solution:

1. Remove the battery from the camera.

3. If the 'Connected' symbol appears on the camera screen, use battery into the camera.

Towards the end of battery life, appears on the screen a battery charge indicator. In my device I was still 20 minutes. movies. Why this ad is not permanently displayed, probably knows only the manufacturer.

A clear advantage of the Ultra is the possibility to use 2 AA batteries ordinary, so you still have a way out if the battery is not charged straight times.

A word about external chargers: The available USB chargers do not work with the flip obvious. I then tried my USB hub that is powered with a 500 mA power supply. Although the device indicates the charge status display, but the charging may not begin.

I've even ordered the Gomadic power supply that is on offer here for the Flip's my experience that I will tell in a corresponding rating. I am particularly interested whether shortens the loading process.

My Conclusion:
Prima device on the go with good recording quality. A star deduction I admit, however, for not really funtionierende battery indicator and missing accessories (case and HDMI cable).
