The punch punching different materials without difficulty. Mostly I use it however for paper and I have some the impression that this blunts the punch something. Nevertheless, it is still working properly, you have to stop turning the pliers something in the hole to get the hole clean out. The adjuster is well adjusted to the perforated plate and meets in a straight angle on it (earlier I once had a pair of pliers in the less important fit and therefore more difficult punching was) Overall recommended.
