The bad: on different PCs (. Netbook / desktop with Win 7 Home Premium and USB 2.0) of the stick was initially recognized easily, the ReadyBoost option (Win 7 related max.) 4 GB could be enabled and the resource monitor the Task Manager also known as "in operation" is displayed along with data throughput. After a short while "disappeared" the stick out of the system, has been provided in the device manager with an exclamation mark and error Win 7 recommended formatting. This formatting (with default settings (FAT32, etc.) both quick and full formatting) was from Win 7 to about 1/3 progress aborted with "Unable to format, check writing protection (etc.)". Of course, no write protection etc. available ...
Other formatting settings failed wiederholt- as I said, with more than one PC. In off and plugging in the sticks (also at different USB ports) of the stick was initially recognized again - after: See above ...
These errors occur regardless of whether the stick now (partially - max 4 GB.) As a "ReadyBoost" or as a normal 8GB stick used.
Did the stick must eventually return. (An older, unwieldy larger 16GB drive (PNY Attache 16GB) works equally properly in ReadyBoost mode of the tested PC)
