Pro:
+ Without overclocking and other gimmicks that Asus provides stable operation.
+ 8 DIMM slots -> 8 * 8 GB = 64 GB maximum configuration
+ Many other positive properties shown as in other reviews
Cons:
- Overclocking Yields (as expected) not much when the computer operates 24/7 (heat problems, stability issues).
The case used Noctua fans no longer enough just even with a i7-3930K.
For gamers turn it may be ok, because the computer is not running as around the clock.
Now my big gripe: USB 3.0 will not work with me unfortunately. It lies on the board, the USB stick is running at other computers with USB 3.0 speed. On Asus Rampage IV unfortunately only with USB 2.0. After several firmware updates and driver updates, the USB 3.0 ports are now completely disabled under Windows 7 64bit.
Very unfortunate.
Why is it I do not know, but this form of problems should not occur on a board of Asus in this price range. Most likely a driver problem, even if driver updates do not help.
Strangely only that not many other people are having this problem.
To me it is relatively late (6 months) noticed after purchase, since I have only tried a USB 3.0 device.
I'll try the board replaced.
Conclusion: Without the USB 3.0 problem it would have been 5 stars.
It is unfortunately only 1 star (actually 0, but you have unfortunately at least 1 awarded. Why?).
Addendum: After a few weekends of hard work I was able to solve the problem. After importing a 6-month-old backups, it went back. So I got with the Driver Genius USB3 drivers from backup and integrated into my current installation. The normal setup it was not oddly.
As far as the short version.
As it now goes back, now I give 4 stars. One star deduction for the sloppy programmed USB3 drivers.
