When unpacking you realize here was thought along. The headset is easy to lift out of the package and after a few hours of charging ready for first use.
The Philips M1MKII is good and high-quality workmanship. Since I am surprised that the designer instead of a jack mount with a few centimeters short, directly used in construction in the headphone cable to which then the actual cable is docked. But that is exactly the position in which the microphone and the control should sit. The sitting is now much lower and is covered during the cold seasons by a jacket and therefore not usable.
And what do I do if the cable breaks at the point?
I find that very unfortunate because with the Bluetooth models a socket is integrated and the cable is interchangeable on the headset. The cable also has no volume control, which is now standard for me.
Therefore, the depreciation of 2 stars.
But now to the first audition with different pieces of music. Which is very impressive.
The bass is full and rich deep down, the centers are present, only the highs come some behavior from the headphones. Yet everything sounds quite airy and is spatially well mapped. The detail is true also. Overall, the sound is consistent and enjoyable.
The Philips stuck, but very pleasant. The pads are very good and high-quality workmanship and are pleasant on the ear.
Here are the key points to grades evaluated:
1 -> sonic overall impression
2 -> heights
1 -> midst
1 -> Bass
2 -> detail
2 -> spatial representation
1 -> Design and Color
1 -> comfort
2 -> Passive noise isolation
2 -> Processing
6 -> handling (cables and microphone)
6 -> no volume control on the cable
CONCLUSION:
The Philips M1MKII is well made. The sound is consistent and it is very comfortable. But because of the completely wrong cable design I sent him back.
