The red power cable is apparently only for the blue illumination of the antenna because - not absolutely necessary to connect. The grounding cable on the other hand absolutely necessary to connect because the reception else goes to zero - but that should anyway be clear. I have the antenna mounted on the top right corner of the pane and then the ground wire attached to the screw of the sun visor. But that is almost as one of several examples in the instructions.
One point deduction for me there because of the bondable antenna cables, which have to be glued to the disc as well. One of them is broken during installation at the quasi Befestitungsstelle (similar without much tensile load) and otherwise you get the feeling here that the manufacturer rather in the material would have a few more euros are stuck. Whether and how long does the one remaining cable to the disk (right now when it's cold and if necessary. The disc is slightly moist) remains to be seen. Positive thing is that the reception is still relatively good and quite compare with a roof antenna.
My ratings at a glance:
+ Price / performance super
+ Good reception
+ Sufficiently long antenna cable to the radio (at least when mounted on the upper right corner of the pane -> there were still about 30cm left)
- Quality of the material (limited to the resealable strip antenna)
