The adapter plug to protect against overvoltage up to 13.500A. Lightning in Germany as far as I've heard about 10,000 A. One wonders immediately why you still should buy an expensive Brennenstuhl power strip for 20-40, which secures to 30.000A. Whether the adapter plug makes an impact with a "bounce flash" as the description calls it, I can test badly. Some power outages and back on all devices etc but it can be a short, but very strong surges that can filter out the unit well.
Unlike the power strips the intermediate connector has no replaceable fuse. In the brief instructions is when the lamp is no longer illuminated, the appliance must be replaced, because it has been destroyed by an extreme overvoltage example.
I have found no negative points. Whether you trust the thing and it believes that it can protect the expensive electronics in an emergency, of course, everyone has to decide for himself.
