Clotheshorse part of life, but I must admit, so far I have actually more annoyed about the rickety things than pleased. The scissors principle always attended my favorite, because we move the clotheshorse often times in the apartment, but mostly on the terrace. Two things are important:
- The stand must - even during transport of the full stand - not collapse accidentally,
- The stand must be stable even with a little more wind, after all it's just the wind, which promotes drying.
Until now we had even "scissors stand" but just such a price 10-15 Euro. Transportable were also, but the stability was an abomination. Countless times is loaded tilted in the wind of the drying rack. One manages with patio stones or similar -.. A sometimes dirty fumbling. For this purpose they stand often had ridges that an injured hands, delicate laundry damaged, or even rusted. Although the durability was also a few years, but these things simply do not make fun.
The hardware store we the clotheshorse of Leifheit looked - another principle, but that seemed good in execution. However, with regard to the construction, transport and folding me this stand have not convinced, so we've left it alone. The may be good if you can stand around open constantly somewhere, but not if you have to move them and store.

Previous assessments at Amazon trusting we then slammed the Artweger and the thing is a joy. Robust, well made, beautiful high, absolutely convincing on the terrace in the wind. But no light without shadow: In the beginning we were unfolding quite difficult. The Artweger moves in the hinges do not self-evident as the windy cheap scissors stand. But now we have to get out the bow.
AUFKLAPPANLEITUNG
It is the stand (still folded) along the right feet of the stand on the floor (so away from the body pointing, as your own feet). Ie. The bottom left on the ground should be (for a right-handed) are now the two foot bars (cross-ties of the feet), right of frame with linen (otherwise turn). Man puts his left foot to gently press the left crossbar and so keeps the stand in the following unfolding on the ground. With his left hand to secure the stand on top of the frame. In this way, fix left foot and left hand to stand in a vertical position. With your right hand you reaches down, down to the lower half of the frame and pulling it diagonally on the top right. The stand folds now on without any problems. The left foot is fixed while the stand until it is. Very easy if you stick to it.
EINKLAPPANLEITUNG
The folding is even easier. Here you stand in front of the stand, the large hinge in the shears should be located (for a Rechtshäner) right. With the left foot fixed to the stand on the left cross bar while carefully engages in the hinge with your right hand and push up the hinge. Already it can be seen as the stand is folded up and the rest is self-evident.
The line length is approximately 14.6 feet. Add to that the two large outer bars of the frame, as the small cross bars of the wing, then we arrive at the advertised 17.5 meters. Normal clamps can not be fastened to the frame, however. The amount of laundry above the ground is about 88 centimeters, which is sufficient for normal bath towels, sauna towels at you have to cheat. But that was rather worse in the low stands, because they were even lower. The wing flaps not just "limp" on which hinges are quite "sticky". So it is no problem to provide a wing if necessary steeper. This can be quite useful in one or another situation, when it comes to space. Here, the wing may then not be too heavily loaded. Whether this is a feature that I do not think so, then the manufacturers would have there still a barrier, or can incorporate screening. It's probably more of a random sequence of "tight" hinges. Perhaps this positive feature is the time.
Can do magic but also a Artweger not that affects the susceptibility to wind. He holds a lot of, a lot more than the cost Stands, previously there was only one situation in which it is sometimes tilted. But I quickly realized what the problem was. The problem I had, because I had just unfolded one wing and equipped with laundry. Alone folding out the other side then has solved this problem.
A 3-year warranty for a drying rack is a treat and talk to the manufacturer and the product. However, I wonder where you can get a matching box for the return if the situation arises. Whether the manufacturer can so what to provide? But just as the stand has been flayed impression that he is more than stand without problems over 3 years.
