Proven protection even in the old, slow computers

My laptop is a little dated (8 years old). I have some anti-virus programs by and saw made some painful experiences. Some of these programs have, my computer slowed down such that I partly had to start 30 minutes earlier than I needed him him, because the scan has made a work impossible (Comodo so I can not recommend it).

Too bad that the subscription has not been simply extended by one year, but on the date of installation, so I lost two months of 2014 subscription.
