Already the double CD (same season and setlist as the DVD) transports the atmosphere well in the domestic boxing and just makes mighty good humor. Southern precisely. Full of vitality and energy. Have to dance and have fun.
By the time you can still see the whole thing on DVD, one wishes to be directly on site or to have tickets for the next concert of the artist.
"Warning": Those who expect Chao supposedly typical shallower, relaxed folk music that clearly outweighs the studio albums "Clandestino" and "Esperanza", will perhaps be disappointed here - or at least irritated. Friends brisk southern music will rejoice even more over the "new" live versions in the more upbeat, rockier sound robe (as sounds such as the Spanish punk rock band "Ska-P" suddenly no longer soo far away ...)
Only in the rear third of the 1st CD treat the musicians the audience something break from their driving, dance-animating beats. Otherwise, you go over 80% of the setlist full speed ahead - with ska, reggae and all sorts of influences that so has the globetrotter Chao in Reportoire. Including songs in French or English. A few songs of Chaos old band "Mano Negra" are also included (eg "Mala Vida", "Sidi H'bibi").
The strong sound and picture material is rounded off by a stylish booklet which really deserves its name "book": a lot of colorful live images of all musicians (especially, of course Manu Chao) and even a larger poster was with me (Limited Edition, maybe there's the case even in the standard version).
Conclusion: Here you can not do nothing wrong. Beginners certainly not. Those who love Mediterranean-emotional music, will have his fun.
