We ordered this mat for our 7 months old daughter. You should be able to lie on the ground, without it being too cold or she pushes her head, which unfortunately is the case with our playmat. I was even already on the puzzle mat, and have to say it is super warm - in the sense that no cold from the floor penetrates. It is compared to the ceiling, through which the head yes durchplumpst already up on the floor, softer. I did not have the puzzle mat ventilate, because they do not smell of chemicals. I wiped it and used immediately. The number of parts is also good, I use currently only half the parts, because they are not yet crawling, and that's enough slack off. Conclusion: I would recommend the puzzle mat and would buy again!
